46 Celebrities With the Most Embarrassing Tattoo Fails
The “Breathin” songstress failed at her Japanese palm tattoo not once, but twice. She initally revealed a hand piece that included several Japanese characters that she throught spelled out “7 Rings.” As Twitter followers were quick to point out, however, it actually said something quite different. “Ariana Grande’s new tattoo ‘七輪’ means Japanese style bbq grill, not 7 rings. If you want to know about 七輪, just google ‘SHICHIRIN,’” a Twitter user wrote.
The Grammy winner responded in a since-deleted tweet: “Indeed, I left out ‘つの指’ which should have gone in between,” she conceded. “It hurt like f*ck n still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time … Also … huge fan of tiny BBQ grills,” she said. Several days later, however, she showed off what she thought was a corrected version of the tattoo, which featured the missing symbol. “Slightly better. Thanks to my tutor for helping me fix and to @kanenavasard for being a legend. And to my doctor for the lidocaine shots (no joke). RIP tiny charcoal grill. Miss u man. I actually really liked u!” she announced on social media. The only problem? According to Twitter, the new symbol’s placement was off, changing its meaning to something even worse: “Japanese BBQ finger.” Cringe!
