Ariana Grande Covered Up Another Pete Davidson Tattoo
Ariana Grande has covered up a good amount of Pete Davidson-era tattoos. She turned a tattoo with Pete’s heroic father’s badge number “8418” into “Myron,” the name of her dog with Mac Miller that she adopted after the rapper’s death, changed their matching “reborn” tattoo into a sprig of lavender, and got rid of her “Pete” thumb tattoo. Next to go? Her “always” rib tattoo.
Ari was quick to point out that this wasn’t a cover-up but an evolution in her mid-morning Instagram post, and while “always” is still visible, she’s gotten a large line drawing of a leaf over the word. Ari got one of her regular artists, Mira Mariah aka GirlKnewYork on Instagram, who rolled thru Ari’s rehearsal space after she finished her final run-throughs for the Sweetener/Thank U, Next World Tour. According to Ari’s post, the new ink was finished in the early hours of the morning around 3 AM, kicking off her tour in true rock star fashion.
Mira Mariah also blessed us with Ari’s hand tattoo of the moon and sun after her Billboard Woman Of The Year honor, the bee tattoo Ariana got after the Manchester bombing, and her giant Spirited Away arm ink, among others. Mira works out of Fleur Noire Tattoo in Brooklyn, and if you want a tattoo from the queen herself, her studio charges a $200 to $600 hourly rate depending on which artist, and we’d bet Ari’s go-to has a pretty high price point.
Pete has covered up his fair share of Ari-inspired ink himself, replacing his “mille tendress” tattoo with the word “cursed.” Clearly, he’s doing super well. He also turned his Dangerous Woman bunny ears into a heart. Pete has some interesting body art ranging from the Tootsie Pop owl to a muppet smoking weed and a smoking animated Nike tennis shoe.
Ari’s tour starts today in Albany, New York at Times Union Center and is set to run through October. She’ll be visiting 61 cities and 22 countries, with a stop at Coachella as one of the festival’s three headliners. See you soon, Ariana!
