Ariana Grande Shuts Down Post-Split Pete Davidson Rumors
Nearly two weeks after Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson called off their engagement, the “God Is a Woman” singer had to dispell some post-split rumors head-on. Though she hasn’t directly addressed her breakup, there has been gossip going around that the Saturday Night Live star wants to work things out with her and has been begging Ariana to take him back.
A Radar Online report claims she “blocked” Pete because he refuses to leave her alone. “She had to tell him straight up to leave her alone. He’s tried contacting her and sending gifts in hopes that she will change her mind and take him back, but that’s not going to happen,” a source told the tabloid.
Apparently, Ariana went as far as changing the locks on the $16 million New York City apartment she and Pete once shared and that her family is “relieved” the two called it quits. “She had no idea how much everyone in her family didn’t like him until she broke it off and was like ‘why didn’t you all tell me when we were together?’ But ultimately they just wanted to see her happy,” the insider added.
Sounds a little far-fetched, doesn’t it? That’s because none of it is true, according to Ariana, who caught wind of the article and immediately shut down any and all speculation.
“none of this is true,” she wrote on Twitter. “it’d be so helpful if the media and everybody would please just drop it and drop makin stuff up so we can heal and support one another moving forward. it sucks to see this stuff. thank u guys for understanding. much love and appreciation.”

So, there you have it! No, Pete isn’t begging for his ex to take him back, and no Ariana absolutely did not change all the locks on her doors. Instead, Ariana would just like everyone to leave her and Pete alone during this difficult time. There’s no telling what’s next for these two, or whether they’ll eventually get back together, but for now, it’s important to let them figure it out.
Ariana would also rather we all focus on her music. On Thursday, October 25, she announced her Sweetener Tour is officially happening, and the first tour date kicks off on March 18, 2019, in Albany, New York. It seems like Ariana really is focusing on the positives in her life right now so that she can fully heal and move forward — and honestly, we wish the absolute same for Pete.
