Bachelor Couple Jade Roper & Tanner Tolbert Accused Of Cheating To Win $1 Million
Most people don’t have a bad thing to say about Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, the now-married couple who met and fell in love on Bachelor In Paradise season two. But now the couple is facing their first controversy since Jade’s Playboy bombshell and it could get them into big trouble.
Those who follow Jade on social media will know that the mother-of-two tweeted that she won one million dollars on a fantasy football draft, mentioning that her husband told her not to play Seattle Seahawks’ wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, who helped secure her grand-prize winnings.
But quickly people called the pair out for both entering the contest with the max number of picks (150) when there are rules about “team-building complementary lineups which serve to work together.” Basically, they’re being accused of working together to secure a big win when that’s against the rules.
Hahaha that’s me! And Tanner told me I shouldn’t play DK Metcalf! 🤣🤪 https://t.co/Ry25Kuq4k9

DraftKings, the fantasy sports contest company, caught on to the scandal and promised to look into their lineups to determine whether the pair had been working together, but Jade and Tanner are calling shenanigans on the whole thing — and pointing out that maybe people wouldn’t have been so skeptical if Tanner had won the grand prize — or if the couple hadn’t appeared on reality TV.
“We respect that DraftKings feels they must do their due diligence in regard to Jade winning their $1 million dollar prize for the fantasy contest for the NFL’s wild-card round this weekend,” a representative for the Tanner family said in a statement, per CNN. “Though we must ponder, would the questions, accusations and curiosity about this win be the same if the winner had been male and someone who wasn’t already in the public eye? It is incredibly important for us to establish that Jade’s win is nothing more than pure luck and we are confident that DraftKings will determine the same.”
Only time will tell if Jade gets to cash that one million dollar check. Maybe if Jade had won that much on a Bachelor bracket she wouldn’t have raised so many eyebrows.
