Bekah Martinez Accuses Bachelorette Contestant Leo Dottavio of Sexual Harassment
Uh oh, there’s some major Bachelor-related drama going on RN and things are getting heated! On Wednesday, August 1st, Bachelor star Bekah Martinez accused Bachelorette contestant Leo Dottavio of sexual harassment after she claims women sent her DMs detailing their experiences. She took to Instagram to share all the messages she received, and let’s just say Leo didn’t appreciate her publicly calling him out.
The initial screenshot that sparked this feud was one Leo allegedly posted on IG about four years ago. In the post, he allegedly told a woman, “you need my big d*ck.”
In a series of other screenshots, the 23-year-old shared allegations from several women, including claims that Leo sent unsolicited photos of his ~privates~ and harassed “barely legal” women in college. Bekah claims that a total of 12 women have come forward to say that he was inappropriate with them.
There’s no word yet on whether there will be any kind of investigation into the matter, but Leo fiercely defended himself, saying the conversations were “photoshopped,” adding that he would have his lawyer look into the images. He also got pretty nasty with Bekah and sent her a screenshot of a message sent to him from a person claiming she had a relationship with an underage boy.
Ugh, the “I’ll always be better than you” comment is so problematic. He also completely dismissed all the accusations, writing, “If anyone wants to come forward with an actual problem, I’d address it.” Bekah argued that this defensive response is why women don’t come forward about abuse and it’s because they don’t want to deal with such a “toxic” reaction.
Bekah later told the New York Post why she decided to share the screenshots: “I started posting the screenshots of their messages because to me, it’s not a coincidence that multiple women would be saying similar things about the same person,” she said. “There’s no way these women happen to be lying about the same thing before seeing what other women are saying.”
The reality star also revealed that Leo’s lawyer even threatened to sue her for defamation. At this point, it’s all hearsay, but Leo is definitely taking all the necessary measures to make sure these allegations don’t ruin his post-Bachelor career. As you probably already know, Leo was on Becca Kufrin‘s season of Bachelorette and Bekah appeared on Arie Luyendyk Jr.‘s controversial season. Since her time on the show, she hasn’t been afraid to speak her mind about the $h*! going on behind the scenes, and we love her for it.
