The one thing that’s as popular today as Lisa Frank folders were in the early ’00s is BTS, the K-Pop boyband that Steve Aoki calls the most “prolific phenomenon since the Beatles.” A new Paper Magazine feature and photoshoot that shows the boys of BTS on a background of Lisa Frank art is sending Armies (BTS fans) into a wave of nostalgia and honestly, this is what Stan Twitter dreams are made of. The merging of two cultural phenomenons? Legendary.

BTS members V, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, RM, and Jimin can be seen surrounded my multicolored snowflakes, pink and green dolphins, cartoonish animals, and kaleidoscopic adornments like angel wings and flowers. According to the magazine, the Lisa Frank-inspired shoot was a reaction to BTS’ “Love Yourself” speech at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly in 2018. RM, AKA Kim Nam-joon, made a heartfelt speech about how important self-love and self-acceptance is, and Paper Magazine thought the Lisa Frank artwork could emphasize those ideals.

Naturally, Twitter is going gaga over the new BTS pics and are, yet again, reminded how much BTS wants them to love themselves.
