Cara Delevingne Posts Pride Video Kissing Girlfriend Ashley Benson
It’s Insta official! It looks like model Cara Delevingne just confirmed that she is dating Pretty Little Liars actress Ashely Benson by posting a video of the two of them smooching on her Instagram. Rumors have been swirling about Cara and Ashley’s potential relationship since last May when the pair were spotted kissing and holding hands in New York City. (Are you even a real celeb couple if you’re not spotted canoodling in NYC?) The pair has kept it super low-key since then, only rarely appearing on each other’s social media pages and going out of their way to avoid being spotted together by the paparazzi.
Despite the fact that their relationship has been kept private, Ashely Benson has still be spotted sitting front and center whenever Cara walks the runway. In March, when Cara walked in the Chanel show honoring the late Chanel designer (and frequent Cara supporter) Karl Lagerfeld, Ashley was there lending emotional support. The two even posted a rare Instagram picture of them cuddling after the show. When Cara walked for Balmain’s spring 2019 collection at Paris Fashion Week, Ashley was also there, sharing pictures of her GF on social media. May we all find partners as supportive as Ashley Benson and jobs as fun as Cara Delevingne’s.
The post taking their relationship public came just before Cara was honored at the TrevorLIVE Gala — an event benefiting the charity the Trevor Project. Cara was given their annual Hero Award for her work speaking out about mental health and LGBTQ+ rights. (Good job, Cara!) In her acceptance speech, Cara gave her girlfriend an adorable shoutout, saying ” “I also have another very special woman in this room to thank and you know who you are. She’s one of the people who help me love myself when I needed it most and I really needed it. She showed me what real love is and how to accept it, which is a lot harder than I thought.” We’re definitely not tearing up rn. We’re just allergic to cuteness.
Earlier that night on the red carpet, Cara said that her decision to share the video of her and Ashely was influenced by both the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and her and Ashely’s one year anniversary. Okay, we’ll admit it. We’re actually kind of crying now.
