Dove Cameron has been going through a pretty tough time since the passing of her friend, Cameron Boyce, earlier this month. The actress has spoken out about the grief she has been feeling after Cameron’s death and has been attempting to stay out of the public eye as much as possible since then, aside from making an appearance at Kenny Ortega’s Hollywood star ceremony last week. So, it’s pretty understandable that she’d be upset at someone taking her photo after she straight-up refused yesterday.

The Descendants star took to Twitter to share an unfortunate interaction she had with two members of the public while out and about yesterday. She wrote: “s/o to the 40 year old man out with his 40 year old male friend who heard me say i’m not taking photos right now in light of recent events, and then instead of respecting that, proceeded to film/take photos of me crossing the street/walking about shops. very cute. love humans.”

Not only is it super understandable that Dove is refusing photos right now, but even if it wasn’t for recent events, she still shouldn’t have been photographed after she straight-up said no. Fans of the star agreed, tweeting their support for her and encouraging people to leave celebrities alone when asked.

Dove has liked numerous tweets in support of hers, including one saying: “But See, They Will Do Anything To Take Care Of Themselves. Then If You Call Them Out On It & They Receive Backlash From Fans, They’ll Try To Blame You. That’s Most Paparazzi For You,” and the other a simple “I hate men.” A big mood.

Cameron Boyce passed away suddenly on July 6th. He and Dove met while working for Disney Channel and they both star in the upcoming Descendants 3 movie, which was filmed before his passing.
