Disney, who? Dove Cameron took to Instagram today to post a couple snaps where she’s ~feelin herself~ in a simple white tank top. Sure, her nipples are visible, but it’s 2019 — who TF cares? She accompanied the pic with a Trista Hendren quote about feminism.

Apparently, some haters still care, because the comments were flooded with comments like, “Oh god not another one blaming men for everything, this feminist bullsh*t is getting so boring now, women have as much opportunity as men do, stop playing the blaming game,” “A little modesty goes a long way. Lord what kind of world is my child growing up in,” and “Wear a bra next time dove.”

Dove must have shades on, though, because she can’t see the haters. The 23-year-old Descendants 3 star responded to those who were feeling empowered by her post. “don’t hide your natural body. people are weird. just because it’s ‘the norm’ now to be ashamed of nipples or your female anatomy or your period doesn’t mean they are actually bad or embarrassing ??? women’s bodies are the literal coolest. anyone who tells you to hide it or slut shames you or puts you down because of your gender can f*ck RIGHT off [sic],” she wrote in response to a commenter who said they were “feeling empowered” because of her nipply post.

Many were strictly #TeamDove and hopped into the comments to tell off people who thought that Dove shouldn’t be putting her nipples on display on Instagram — especially because she’s “a role model” to young girls.

“Y’all is being extra just bcuz she not wearing a bra chill tf out girls don’t always gotta wear bra do y’all (BOYS) know that shit is uncomfortable stop coming at her just cuz she’s not wearing a bra damn,” one Dove fan wrote.

Another said, “Thank you for being such an inspiration.”

Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards also gave her stamp of approval, showing Dove some love with a ‘like.’

This isn’t the first time Dove has showed her support for women doing whatever TF they want to do with their bodies. The actress chimed in when Bella Thorne and Whoopi Goldberg were feuding after Bella decided to release her own nudes after she was blackmailed. “you are not spreading a positive message for young developing women, or men, for that matter, all you’re doing is perpetuating an old, dying, DAMAGING idea that we, as humans, are inherently wrong and dirty and deserve to be “punished” and objectified. slut shaming is old. please. just. be better than this. it’s really not that hard [sic],” she wrote. We stan a feminist goddess and we stan her even more when she’s standing up against dated, sexist ideas about what makes a woman “good.” The selfie is fire, girl!
