Just when we thought the Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson drama was long behind us, fans are still out here reaching for some more shade between the former couple. So we all know that Ariana has a song on her album Sweetener that’s titled “Pete Davidson,” which is fairly awk seeing as she and Pete called off their engagement in October 2018 after being together just five months. Ariana has never really addressed the fact that she has a song named after her ex, but fans of Pete think she’s just thrown some serious shade at him by jokingly renaming the song on Instagram.

While videoing herself on Insta stories last night, Ari responded to her friend Courtney Chipolone when she asked if Ariana would name a song after her. She said yes, obvi, and then posted a screenshot of a track from her album with Courtney’s name written over the title. You can’t see which song Ariana has renamed, just the timestamp, but fans are convinced it’s “Pete Davidson.”

One Pete stan shared the story on Twitter and scolded Ari for “shading a man that has mental issues.”

She then provided “proof” that the song is definitely “Pete Davidson” because the timestamps apparently matched up.

Fans of Ariana were quick to chime in, reminding the Twitter user that Pete has brought up Ariana NUMEROUS times since they split, and also that the story just simply isn’t that deep.

We’re pretty sure if Ariana were going to rename a song, though, it would be “Pete Davidson” because one — he’s her EX-fiance and two — it’s her only song that’s named after someone. Keep reaching though!
