Why can’t Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber leave Selena Gomez alone? The 27-year-old singer appeared on Raquelle Stevens‘s new podcast “Giving Back Generation” with a group of her gal pals where she talked about being “a nerd” in school, how her cheerleader cousin saved her from incessant bullying, and the role she plays in her tight-knit group of friends.

While the interview itself was super interesting (we’ll include quotes below), Hailey Baldwin’s apparent support of her husband’s ex-girlfriend is raising even more eyebrows.

Raquelle shared a photo on Instagram of SelGo, Courtney Lopez, and Ashley Cook lounging while they recorded the podcast to express her gratitude for her friends coming on the podcast for its launch. “This episode is particularly special to me as Courtney, Sel, and Ashley have been my friends all through my 20’s. We talk about what it means to support each other, forgive, and grow together,” she wrote.

A few hours after it was posted, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Hailey had ‘liked’ the post. At the time of publishing, almost more than 14 hours after the screenshot of the ‘like,’ Hailey hadn’t ‘unliked’ the post. Samuel Krost, who Selena was once romantically linked to, commented on the post, too, writing, “support your friends” with a black-heart emoji.

During the podcast, Selena reflected on what it was like to only have “hung out with like one person” back in the day (relatable, TBH). “I went to school for a little bit, before I was homeschooled, people were, you know,” she told her friends. “If my cousin wasn’t the captain of the cheerleading team I would have been destroyed. Because I was just, you know, I was kind of a nerd and just hung out with like one person.”

She also referred to herself as a “troublemaker” which is surprising due to her squeaky-clean public image. “I’m the troublemaker of the group, a little mischievous. I like to make things interesting. And I feel that’s a crucial part of friendship. And I have the safest people to do that with let’s just be honest … I love getting reactions out of Ashley; I love performing; I love adventure.”

Elsewhere in the interview, she said, “I want to be an example of friendship and what it can look like and the importance of it. I want there to be more friendships like this. I think there needs to be more.” So is Hailey trying to extend an olive branch in support of girl power and female friendships? We’d be surprised, but who knows!
