James Arthur Denies Shading Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes In Tweet About PR Stunts
This tea is hot. And it’s fresh from the other side of the Atlantic. UK X Factor winner James Arthur now claims that his shady tweet about “PR moves” in “pop music” is not about Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. The English singer tried to clear up any confusion Tuesday morning, saying “I love their collab … I am friends with both of them it was a uk based comment.”
All these PR moves in pop music today are getting too cringey man 😂 I’m done I’ve seen it all ✌🏻

The Twitter controversy started Monday morning when James tweeted that he was done with PR stunts in the music industry. The tweet was preeetttyy shady cause pretty much everyone has been accusing the “Señorita” singers of faking their relationship for clout. Camila and Shawn’s fans immediately took to the comments, thinking that the shade was directed at their faves. ICYMI, Camila and Shawn recently released a spicy duet together,” hen, despite having denied rumors for years that they were romantically involved, the two singers were spotted getting real cozy (and even smooching!) on two separate weekends. Some have accused the two pop stars of faking a relationship for publicity purposes and to keep the song at number one.
So it kind of makes sense that James could have been shading the potential couple. But after a fan out and out asked him if he was talking about Shawn and Camila (#Shamila, if you will), the English singer claimed that he was not.

Honestly, I love their collab! It makes total sense! They’ve collaborated in the past and this song speaks to both their heritage so I 100% was not indirecting them on my life. I am friends with both of them it was a uk based comment.

If we believe that James Arthur wasn’t talking about Shawn and Camila … who was he shading in the first place? He claimed that the tweet was directed at a UK star. If you have any ideas, let us know.
