Excuse us, but what? Just weeks after Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans alleged that her husband David Eason shot and killed their dog, Nugget, the couple has gotten *two* more puppies! While we are normally pro-puppy, we find this news pretty disburbing given the recent allegations from Jenelle herself.

ICYMI, in early May, Jenelle claimed that her husband shot and killed their French bulldog, Nugget. Jenelle made a tragic Instagram post about the incident, claiming that she was “#Heartbroken” and “#Distraught” over Nugget’s death. David also seemed to confirm Jenelle’s claims. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Jenelle’s husband seemingly defended his choice to shoot the dog, saying “I dont give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face … I’m all about protecting my family, it is my lifes mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me. [sic]” Seems pretty cut and dry, right?

Well, last week, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus County Animal Control confirmed that they had conducted an investigation, but could not find any evidence that animal abuse had taken place at Jenelle and David’s home. The police briefly implied that Jenelle was making the story up for publicity. In a statement to The Hollywood Gossip, Jenelle denied these rumors, but didn’t clear up what actually happened. She said “You would have to ask David what happened. I was not outside … This was an incident that should have never went public to begin with.” Nugget’s whereabouts are currently unknown.

Despite all the allegations and rumors, it looks like the couple has gotten two more dogs. In a video posted to YouTube, David Eason showed off Buddy and Junior, two Anatolian Shepherds that the couple got to protect their chickens from hawks and other predators. David said that the breed was, “one of the most unique types of dog I have ever seen and have the best temperament and disposition of any dog I have ever owned.” The new dogs are adorable, but also, what happened to Nugget?

Hopefully Buddy and Junior will be safe in their new home!
