Jessie J Shuts Down Interviewer’s Questions About Channing Tatum
It’s no secret that Jessie J and Channing Tatum are super loved up … but that doesn’t mean that Jessie wants to talk about it. The singer appeared on the UK talk show This Morning on Friday to talk about her role as a judge on The Voice Kids, but it appeared that the hosts were more interested in her love life (and like, same).
While she was a guest on the show, co-host Ben Shephard decided to change the conversation from the latest season of The Voice Kids to that of Magic Mike Live, the Las Vegas show based on the movie starring Channing Tatum. “You obviously got to see it with Mike himself,” Ben said, to which Jessie replied, “I did.”
Ben attempted to continue the conversation about the show by saying: “That’s a performance that seems to be quite…” before he was cut off by Jessie.
“The opposite of The Voice Kids. I think let’s stay focused on The Voice Kids,” she clapped back. The singer seemed visibly irritated when the hosts of the breakfast show continued to talk about Magic Mike Live, so she decided to conclude the conversation by bringing the interview back to The Voice Kids, which had its season finale on Saturday night. “Yeah, I mean The Voice Kids is insane, and I have loved every second of doing it, and I am so excited for the finale tomorrow.”
Jessie and Channing first went public with their relationship back in March, following Channing’s split from his wife of nine years, Jenna Dewan. The two have been pretty loved up over social media since, often posting cute photos of each other. Jessie even gifted us this stunning pic of her boo after he was forced to post it when she defeated him in a game of Jenga. Too kind.
Even though she is relatively open about her relationship on social media, that doesn’t mean Jessie wants all of her interviews to be based on Channing, especially when she’s been invited to discuss one of her own projects!
The couple tends to stay quiet about each other when it comes to press, but Jessie did say she is “very happy” in her new relationship with the Hollywood actor in an interview with The Times back in June. Adorbs.
