Katy Perry Harassment

Earlier this week, Katy Perry was accused by the man who starred in her “Teenage Dream” music video of sexual misconduct. Josh Kloss, who played Katy’s love interest in the music video back in 2010, posted a detail Instagram caption about the singer’s alleged actions towards him. In the post, he alleged that Katy “pulled my Adidas sweats and underwear out as far as she could to show a couple of her guy friends and the crowd around us, my penis.”

You know. After I met Katy, we sang a worship song, “open the eyes of my heart” She was cool and kind. When other people were around she was cold as ice even called the act of kissing me “gross” to the entire set while filming. Now I was pretty embarrassed but kept giving my all, as my ex was busy cheating on me and my daughter was just a toddler, I knew I had to endure for her sake. After the first day of shooting, Katy invited me to a strip club in Santa Barbara. I declined and told her “I have to go back to hotel and rest, because this job is all I have right now” So I saw Katy a couple times after her break up with Russel. This one time I brought a friend who was dying to meet her. It was Johny Wujek’s birthday party at moonlight roller way. And when I saw her, we hugged and she was still my crush. But as I turned to introduce my friend, she pulled my Adidas sweats and underwear out as far as she could to show a couple of her guy friends and the crowd around us, my penis. Can you imagine how pathetic and embarrassed i felt? I just say this now because our culture is set on proving men of power are perverse. But females with power are just as disgusting. So for all her good she is an amazing leader, hers songs are mainly great empowering anthems. And that is it. I continued to watch her use clips of her music videos for her world tour and then her dvd, only highlighting one of her male co-stars, and it was me. I made around 650 in total off of teenage dream. I was lorded over by her reps, about not discussing a single thing about anything regarding Katy publicly. And a couple interviews they edited and answered for me. So, happy anniversary to one of the most confusing, assaulting, and belittling jobs I’ve ever done. Yay #teenagedream I was actually gonna play the song and sing it on ukele for the anniversary, but then as I was tuning I thought, fuck this, I’m not helping her bs image another second.

Katy has not responded to the claims made by Josh, and now a second person has spoken about how the singer allegedly sexually harassed her. According to Consequence of Sound, a Russian television host named Tina Kandelaki alleges that Katy made unwanted advances on her at a private party. Tina alleged to a Russian newspaper that Katy was drunk when she inappropriately touched her and tried to kiss her. When Tina rejected Katy’s advances, the 34-year-old allegedly continued to act inappropriately with other people attending the event.

Katy has been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior in the past, having kissed a 19-year-old man without his consent during a 2018 American Idol audition. The contestant later told the New York Times that, while he didn’t feel sexually harassed, he was “uncomfortable” and “would have said no” if Katy asked before kissing him. In another interview, he said that Lionel Richie actually *had* asked if he wanted to kiss Katy and he didn’t “say no.”

Anderson Davis, the actor who starred in Katy’s music video for the song “Thinking Of You” in 2009, has spoken out in defense of the singer, saying that his experience working with the star “was nothing but positive.” Anderson then went on to slam Josh, saying that the allegations against Katy sound like a “smear” to ruin her reputation, in his opinion. “Maybe it’s always been this way, but more so today, everyone seems so needy for attention no matter how they can get it, even at the cost of someone else’s reputation.”

I’d be 100% happy to defend Katy. After being contacted regarding my thoughts on this from numerous entertainment outlets, I’ve decided to give my own words here so that they couldn’t be twisted! I read an article regarding the male model’s thoughts and what he had claimed Katy Perry had done to him. What I can tell you is my personal experience and it was nothing but positive. Katy was extremely inspiring, sweet, darling, professional on set and off the few times that we ran into each other. I personally didn’t have anyone on Katy’s team lording over me to answer interview questions in any certain way. We made a beautiful music video , I worked with some very talented but more importantly great people, and made some friends that I’ve enjoyed drinks and dinner with over the years. Simply put…it sounds like a smear job to me. Maybe it’s always been this way, but moreso today, everyone seems so needy for attention no matter how they can get it , even at the cost of someone else’s reputation. We have a responsibility as a society as individuals not to be careless with our accusations or words. #katyperry

We have a feeling it won’t be long till Katy speaks up about the allegations against her.
