Lili Reinhart Slams “Toxic” Twitter After “Constant” Attacks On Herself & Riverdale Castmates
Lili Reinhart is just the latest in celebrities who have decided to take a break from social media after the negativity gets a little too much to bare. Lili is a lead actress on one of the most popular shows of 2018, and with that comes quite a bit of attention. Unfortunately, Lili says that she, her Riverdale castmates, and her relationship with Cole Sprouse are the victims of “evil 15 year olds who don’t know what the hell they’re talking about and have nothing better to do” but to “constantly attack” the people that matter to her.
On her Instagram Story, Lili fired off a series of text posts that slammed the negativity pervasive on Twitter and announced she’d be taking a break from the “toxic” site.
“Do people on twitter ever get tired of being so negative and disrespectful to literally everyone and everything? Are they really that miserable,” she wrote on a black background, screenshotted 12/17 at 11:50 AM. “There’s hate everywhere. But especially twitter. It’s like a cesspool for evil 15 year olds who don’t know what the hell they’re talking about and have nothing better to do.”
“Taking a break from that toxic site and the people on it who feel the need to constantly attack me, my castmates, my relationship, and Riverdale,” the 22-year-old actress announced before adding, “Hate to break it to you online trolls: Spreading your hate and overall negativity online won’t make you any less miserable.”
While Lili seemed pretty upset in the posts, just two hours later she was goofing around with her co-stars again, showing videos of a Veronica Lodge doll appearing all over backstage of Riverdale — including Casey Cott‘s shoulder, the thermostat, the Christmas tree, and even inside a box of cereal. It’s good to see Lili isn’t let the haters get her down and taking a break from Twitter can honestly be a form of self-care, so we totally support it.
For those who were wondering, this is the last Tweet she posted before her hiatus:

We’ll miss her all-too-relatable content, but at least we’ve got that fabulous GIF to look at every time we go to her page for the time being.
