Our nostalgic Disney Channel-loving hearts are being well fed with this whole Coronavirus crisis thing. Yesterday, Ashley Tisdale was trending for her High Schoool Musical-inspired TikTok, Vanessa Hudgens was trending for some more controversial reasons, plus Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus had a virtual hang-out sesh and let the world watch.

With so many social-distancing, extroverts, in particular, are looking for some human interaction. Technology allows us to hang out with our friends from miles apart, and Miley and Demi took advantage. The pair met up on an Instagram Live stream to chat about the pandemic, their pasts, and how beautiful it feels to reconnect today.

While Demi said, “We connected then because we just saw something in each other, maybe it was our spiritualities or maybe it was just our hearts, I don’t know,” speaking of their early years on the Disney Channel while Demi was a Sonny With A Chance star and Miley was on Hannah Montana.

The “Can’t Be Tamed” singer, however, has other ideas about how their initial bond was formed, saying, “Or maybe we were just gay as f*ck!” After Demi legit loses it, Miley said, “I hate to tell you.”

Some think that’s “confirmation” that the two hooked up.

Elsewhere in the interview, the pair talked about self-image and their very different experiences with coming to terms with being body-shamed in very different ways.

“I remember being 12 years old, my body started changing, obviously … I didn’t have anybody in young Hollywood to look up to at that time that had a normal body. I was just looking at these stick figures because that’s what was in style at the time,” Demi shared. “I talked about my struggles with food and stuff and I’m glad that I did. It’s brought me and my fans closer.”

“I basically went through two or three years where I wouldn’t wear shorts, I stopped wearing skirts on stage all this sh*t because after the VMAs and I had on my cute little new bodysuit, everyone started comparing me to a turkey … I was feeling so bad about myself that I did not wear a bikini for two years,” Miley explained. “That was such a wake-up call for me about wanting to use my platform for a bigger purpose.”
