Looks Like Zayn Malik & Louis Tomlinson Are Feuding Again
Apparently, Zayn tweeted-and-deleted over the weekend saying, “I’d like [to] apologize for basically being a sh*t person.” Same, dude. Fans think this most recent display of self-depreciation was targeted at Louis Tomlinson, who went on The Dan Wootton Interview podcast to
promote his new single talk about all the times Zayn was, in fact, a sh*t person to him. It’s important that while the interview’s release is recent, the actual interview took place a couple days before Félicité Tomlinson, Louis’s sister, died of a heart attack.
We all remember that it was Louis’s mother Johannah Deakin‘s dying wish for Louis and Zayn to mend their friendship, but Louis put Zayn on blast for ghosting him during his emotional X-Factor performance of “Just Hold On” after her death in 2016.
“I had a couple of calls with [Zayn] after I lost my mum, and all the boys had agreed to come to that performance, and he didn’t show, so that really bugged me,” Louis recalled. “It was just seeing everyone there — Harry, Niall, and Liam — that was what I needed that night, that support. So on the other end of the spectrum, it kind of really showed. So, eh, I hope he’s alright, but…”
This isn’t the first time Louis and Zayn have taken their bickering public. In 2017, Zayn talked to US Weekly about their friendship not being “the way it used to be,” and in 2018, Zayn told British Vogue that the band was saying “snide things” about him, and we can never forget the pair’s 2015 Twitter feud.
Louis has really been going through it since One Direction split. His mother died, he knocked up someone who *isn’t* Eleanor Calder, and his eighteen-year-old sister died of a heart attack. So, basically, if he wants to cope by dragging Zayn for being a d*ck three years ago, that’s honestly fair. No tea, no shade, but it’s not like we haven’t known for a hot second that Zayn high-key sucks. Our only comfort is in knowing that Harry Styles is as angelic of a human being as he seems on TV. A ~perfect~ solo album, a friendship with Kacey Musgraves, *and* a spot co-chairing the MET Gala? The perfect person doesn’t exi-

Right, anyway, back to the feud. After Zayn deleted his apology, he tweeted about how he’s super happy and loves Gigi Hadid:
Currently 😃 happy, could be happier. Thanks for all the love and thoughts yesterday just had a vent ha x

@GiGiHadid love you

He also shared a selfie to further convince us that he’s ~really happy~ :

IDK, nothing about that pic screams “totally healthy and OK” to me, but whatever. Go off, then.
No one can know for sure who Zayn’s apology was really for (except Gigi, probably), but we really hope that Zayn and Louis can put down the pitchforks and mend their friendship ASAP. Or, at the very least, stop being so salty that they feel the need to bicker through interviews, social media, and Vogue cover spreads.
