Things just got a little ugly between Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson. Less than one month after calling off their engagement, it seems like their post-split amicableness is over for good. The “No Tears Left to Cry” singer pretty much wants her ex to keep their relationship out of his mouth and proved it when she called him out after a clip promoting the new Saturday Night Live episode featured him asking singer Maggie Rogers to marry him. It’s safe to say she did not find it funny.

The promo, released on Thursday, November 1st, features Pete and Maggie, who is this week’s musical guest, as well as actor Jonah Hill, who will be hosting, on stage. In it, he says, “Hi Maggie, I’m Pete. Do you want to get married?” to which she declines, and he replies “0 for 3.”

The joke is, of course, about his failed relationship with Ariana and he’s obviously poking fun at the fact that he proposed to her so quickly after they started dating. The two began their whirlwind summer romance in May, got engaged one month later, only to call it quits in October. We have no idea who the third person is, but he may be referring to his previous ex, Cazzie David, with whom he split shortly before the Ari hookup.

Shortly after the clip was released, Ariana blasted Pete on Twitter, firing off a series of tweets, including this one – and OUCH, the shade is real, everyone. “For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet, adding, “Thank u, next.”

Her savage reply definitely came as a surprise to a lot of us mostly because Ariana hasn’t really opened up about her and Pete’s breakup since it happened. However, we don’t blame her for calling the comedian out for using their relationship for attention – especially because he’s so adamant about not wanting to be in the spotlight. She hit him right where it hurts…

Even though she didn’t mention Pete by name, it seemed pretty clear she was responding to the promo, especially given that she also “liked” a number of other tweets like this one:

But that’s not all, she also liked a fan’s response to the video, “tag yourself i’m maggie.” LOL. Ariana eventually tweeted “k that’s the last time we do that,” then deleted the all the messages. Pete has yet to respond, but um, we have a feeling he might have something to say on SNL this weekend.
