We have a bunch of favorite celebrity couples. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend ... the list goes on. Even though celebrities have the chance to hook up with fellow rich, talented, and famous humans, there are still some out there that are happy to hook up with their fans. That's right, some of your fave singers and actors might be open to the possibility of loving YOU. Here are 20 celebrities who have admitted to hooking up with their fans ... in fact, some of them even married them.
Jake T. Austin, who became known for his role on Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, is currently dating one of his intense superfans. His girlfriend, Danielle Caeser, began stalking the child star on social media in 2009. She frequently tweeted at Jake about how hot she thought he was and how she was going to marry him ... for real. The pair first met in 2011 at an autograph signing in New York, but it's not clear how they struck up a relationship. Things must be going well, anyway, because they just celebrated their three year anniversary.
There have been a couple of instances when our favorite Directioner Harry Styles has admitted he's hooked up with a fan before. During an appearance on The Ellen Show with One Direction back in 2015, Harry admitted he'd hooked up with a fan during a game of Never Have I Ever. Years later, when his first solo album came out, Harry revealed that the song "Carolina" was written about a girl he spent a day with during a break from working on the album. Although he only mentions her first name in the song, fans are convinced the fan is this girl.
Olympic athlete Usain Bolt was running from his girlfriend when it came to light that he slept with a fan in 2016. While in Rio for the Olympic games, Usain slept with a 20-year-old fan who he met at nightclub. Starstruck, the fan took pictures with Usain and sent it into her friends' WhatsApp group. Before long, the photos circulated on the internet and the Brazilian woman began giving interviews to the press. Despite the athlete's affair with a fan, his girlfriend took him back after the fiasco.
Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong has admitted to hooking up with a fan in the past ... in fact, he married her, too. The singer met his wife, Adrienne Armstrong, when she came to one of his early gigs with Green Day in Minnesota. Billie has said how he couldn focus on anything else but her during the show. Adorbs. After the show, Adrienne approached Billie and asked where she could find their records, before giving him her number. The couple began dating in 1990 shortly after their first meeting, married in 1994 and have since had two children together.
Anna Hathaway is another celebrity who ended up marrying one of her fans. Her husband, Adam Shulman, was a bit of an actor, more of a jewelry designer, when she met him at the Palm Springs Film Festival in 2008. It was just five months after Anne ended her relationship with scam artist Raffaello Follieri, and even though it was Adam who was a huge fan of Anne's at the time, she was the one besotted with him. "I’m going to marry that man," was what she said to the friend who introduced them. She did, and now they have one kid and another on the way.
Conan O'Brien fell in love with his wife Liza Powel right on the set of his NBC show. Liza was actually in the audience during a taping of Late Night With Conan O'Brien in 2000. "Somewhere, in the vault at NBC, there's footage of me literally falling for my wife on camera," Conan said during an interview with Piers Morgan in 2012. "She's very intelligent and funny and a really great person." How sweet is that? The couple went on to date straight away and then married in 2002. They have two kids together, Beckett and Neve, and are happier than ever.
Another fan hookup confession to come out of The Ellen Show was that of Jared Leto. The 30 Seconds To Mars front man and actor sat on the Ellen couch with Drake when they were subject to a game of Never Have I Ever. When Ellen asked if the stars had ever hooked up with a fan on tour, Jared originally held up the "I Have Never" paddle, before laughing and switching to "I Have." In saying this, Jared has been accused of violating some of his fans that were minors at the time, so it's not that surprising but it is very concerning.
The Ellen Show is the perfect place to get all the dirt on your favorite celebrities, because Ellen also subjected every single member of NSYNC to a game of Never Have I Ever in 2018. Not only did every member of the band admit to hooking up with someone on the NSYNC tour bus (who we can probably assume were fans) but when Ellen asked the traditional "hooking up with fans" question, they all held up the "I Have" paddle. They did say it was because all of their significant others are fans, but we don't know if buy it.
G-Eazy has a bit of a reputation for being a bad boy, so he's probably the first person we'd think would hook up with a fan. The rapper dated the singer Halsey on and off in 2018 and she has been less than praising of him since their split. Before they got together, however, G-Eazy admitted to having hooked up with fans before ... in a roundabout way. In a 2015 interview with Galore, the rapper detailed why he's into East coast girls over West coast, and when he was asked if he has or would ever sleep with a fan, he deflected the question back to his tour. Sounds like a confession to us!
YouTuber Kian Lawley is known for getting messy with his fans on more than one occasion, despite having a girlfriend. Back in 2016, the 23-year-old and his friends JC Caylen and Dominic DeAngelis were photographed having a wild night with two fans they met after their show in Minneapolis. Polaroid photos of the trio were shared to Instagram which showed them laying in bed with and touching their fans who were half-naked. The girls later posted to Instagram explaining what happened and confirming that they made out with Dom and Kian and that one of them "f*cked the sh*t out of JC." So... yeah.
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin may be the cutest (and most intense) couple on the planet right now, but Hailey was once a Belieber, like the rest of us. Although she firmly denies being a JB superfan in interviews, the video evidence doesn't lie. A viral video from 2009 shows Hailey meeting her future husband with her dad, Steve Baldwin, while they waited for him in the lobby of The Today Show. Then, in 2011, Hailey managed to snag a photo with her celeb crush at the premiere of Never Say Never. It can happen for anybody, people! Plus, there were a ton of tweets Hailey posted back in the day about JB and even Selena Gomez!
5 Seconds of Summer front man Luke Hemmings thinks there's nothing wrong with dating a fan, so you still have a chance, 5SOS stans! The singer has previously said in an interview that dating fans isn't out of the question for him. "Yes I’d date a fan. People talk about fans like they’re mystical creatures, but they’re just normal people." The singer is also rumored to have dated a fan back in 2014 in a quick fling.
Joe Jonas was in one of the biggest teen bands of the noughties, so it's not surprising that he had a few run ins with fans. In 2016, before he was married to Sophie Turner, he told Andy Cohen on an episode of Watch What Happens Live that he's hooked up with fans before. Andy asked, "Have you ever picked someone out in the audience when you’re doing a concert and said to one of your guys, ‘Hey, get that girl and bring her back’?" and Joe answered: "Yeah, I mean, I’ve invited them. Maybe not like ... well, whatever you want to think." That definitely wasn't a no!
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married from 2006 to 2012. There's a 17 year age gap between the pair, which makes it believable that Tom was Katie's celeb crush while she was at school. In 2004, while engaged to somebody else, Katie told reporters: "I think every little girl dreams about her wedding. I used to think I was going to marry Tom Cruise." Katie's friend from school even said that the actor used to pray for Tom's good will in religion class. "In religion class, when we were about 16, we would have to say prayers to keep a certain someone safe and out of harm. Katie would say it for Tom Cruise."
Steve Harvey and his wife Marjorie's story is definitely a sweet one. In 1990, Steve was doing a stand-up gig at a comedy club in Memphis, Tennessee. Marjorie, who was a fan of Steve's at the time, was late to the show and made her way to her seat in front of everyone. When Steve spotted her, he apparently went silent. Marjorie thought he was going to berate her for being late, but he actually just said, "I'm sorry, I don't know who this is, but I'm going to marry her." The two didn't get married till 2007, but they're still happy now.
Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow were married for over a decade before they split in 2014. At the time, they were a pretty unlikely couple. Gwyneth was a huge Hollywood actor who came from a very famous family, while Chris was a small town guy who happened to find himself in an extrememly impressive band called Coldplay. Still, it was Gwyneth who was more of a fan of Chris, because they actually met at one of his concerts. "His assistant came to my seat at the concert. They said, 'This is so crazy, but will you come back and say hello afterwards?' And that was it."
How hard is it to hook up with Michael B. Jordan? Not very — all you need to do is slide into his DMs. Michael was on The Ellen Show just like a ton of other celebs when he spilled the beans about hooking up with fans. Chrissy Teigen was co-hosting with Ellen when she asked Michael if he's "hooked up via direct messages," and, to our delight, he answered: "Yes, I have. I have. I’m human. Not often, but I have." It just goes to show that they celebs hook up the same way us regular folk do!
Musical trio Hanson is made up of three brothers, and one thing that they can all agree on is that each of them married their biggest fans. The brothers get their fair share of crazy fangirls, and while that might bother a lot of famous people's significant others, the Hanson ladies just know that "they won," according to the boys. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the band told the media outlet that "hopefully they're bigger fans than them."
The Beatles legend Ringo Starr met his first wife, Maureen Starkey Tigrett, in the early '60s when she was just 15. Maureen was a huge fan of the band, and it was actually at one of their gigs where she met Ringo. The two met in a Liverpool bar called The Cavern Club and struck up a romantic relationship a while later when Maureen was slightly older. Maureen had to quit her day job as a hair stylist thanks to crazy fans who would threaten her, but she eventually married Ringo in 1965 before they divorced ten years later.
Drake was on the Ellen couch next to Jared Leto when they played a game of Never Have I Ever. Like Jared, Drake admitted to having hooked up with fans in the past more or less straight away. When Ellen asked the burning question, Drake answered: “What is a ‘fan,’ like, someone who enjoys your [music]?” before holding up the “I Have” sign. Drake's answer isn't very suprising, seeing as there have been numerous reports of him hooking up with much younger fans. The rapper hasn't confirmed those interactions, however.
