Lili Reinhart Shares Emotional Dream About Riverdale Costar Luke Perry
It’s been almost a year since Luke Perry tragically and unexpectedly died, but no one has forgotten his impact. Now, a week after the Beverly Hills 90210 actor was snubbed at the Oscars (among others like Cameron Boyce), his Riverdale costar is paying tribute to the actor — saying a recent dream told her that he’s “smiling brightly on the other side.
“I had a dream last night that I saw Luke…and I hugged him so hard and cried into his shoulder, telling him how much we all miss him,” she wrote to Twitter. “Looking back on it this morning, I think his spirit was visiting me in my sleep, letting me know he’s smiling brightly on the other side.”

The tweet quickly amassed thousands of ‘Likes’ and retweets from Luke’s fans who still miss the actor.
Luke, who was a father of two and a mainstay in Hollywood for over two decades, had a massive stroke on February 28, 2019 and died in the hospital a few days later. In the immediate aftermath, nearly all his costars paid tribute to the talented actor and the Riverdale season four premiere was dedicated to Luke last October. While some shows have chosen to write a character off when the actor dies, Riverdale opted to have Luke’s character, Fred Andrews, die unexpectedly as well — though in a different way. It was an appropriate way to say goodbye to both Luke and Fred, though the actors admitted it was nearly impossible to get through a single scene without crying.
We’re all still missing Luke, but Lili’s tweet is a good reminder that none of us our alone with our grief.
