Former Scientologists Lose Two Dogs To ‘Rat Poisoning’ After Speaking Out About Danny Masterson Rape

Animal rights activists, get into formation. We’ve been scared sh*tless of the Church Of Scientology ever since Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief debuted in 2015, but more recent reports about retaliation against Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta and his wife, Chrissie Carnell have us shook to the core.

In case you missed it: Danny Masterston, best-known for his work on The ’70s Show as Hyde, was accused of raping Chrissie in 2017. The two were Scientologists until coming out against the Church in 2017 when they said Danny is a serial rapist and that Scientology routinely protects sexual assault survivors. He’s since said that their phones have been tapped and they’ve been harassed by Church members — which is in-line with allegations against the Church made in Going Clear.

But now, the Mars Volta singer says that the Church of Scientology has upped their game and decided that killing pet dogs is proper retaliation for the couple’s “crimes” against the Church.

In an Instagram, Cedric revealed that his found meat full of rat poison “in my front and backyard,” directly tying it to Scientology. “This is what scientology does when you speak about the predators they protect.” Later, he revealed that it’s the second dog they’ve had to put down after being allegedly poisoned by the Church of Scientology.

A more recent post shows Danny’s wife, Bijou Phillips, mocking Chrissie’s report of rape. For what it’s worth, Chrissie is not the only person accusing Danny Masterson of rape. Four women filed police reports in March 2017 against Ashton Kutcher‘s former costar. In 2019, they filed more police reports of harassing and stalking they’ve received as a result of coming out against Danny Masterson.

There is something insidious happening at the Church of Scientology. If a group is willing to allegedly kill innocent dogs in order to intimidate victims into silence, what won’t they do?
