This might sound like a reach, but hear us out. It sort of looks like Ariana Grande is set to produce the soundtrack for the new Charlie’s Angels movie that will star Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska. Rumors of the production began circulating after it was reported that Ariana is set to collaborate on a song with Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey. None of the three singers verbally confirmed the project, however, they went on to sneakily like tweets about the collab — which all but confirms it to us.

[UPDATE: 6/26/19 13:30 EST The ARI / MILEY / LANA COLLAB FOR CHARLIE’S ANGELS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED.]

Nobody knew whether the song would be for one of Miley’s upcoming EPs, Lana’s latest album, or just a random single, but now it looks like the song will feature on the Charlie’s Angels soundtrack.

Pop Crave has a theory that makes the idea that Ariana will produce the soundtrack pretty convincing. It all stemmed from a screenshot of a post from the alleged official GIPHY account for the new flick, which shows photos of the three ladies and the Charlie’s Angels logo.

While the song is already exciting enough, people think that Ari may play a bigger role in the movie soundtrack than we’d expect. Last month, the singer tweeted that she was working on a soundtrack with producer Savan Kotecha. If that wasn’t ENOUGH, she subtly added in that cute angel emoji.

Ari also tagged that same producer as well as producer Ilya Salmanzadeh in an Insta story where she said she was working on something that isn’t #AG6 related. Interesting …

Think an executive producing gig is a bit random for Ariana? Not really. It’s actually really common for movie soundtracks to have big named producers to create clout for the film. For example, Jay-Z produced The Great Gatsby soundtrack, Kendrick Lamar produced the soundtrack for Black Panther and Lorde did the same for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

OH and one last thing — Ariana has called her pal Miley an “angel” on her Instagram Stories before. Coincidence? We think not …

The Charlie’s Angels remake will be in theatres on November 15 2019, so we guess we’ll be a while waiting for the soundtrack confirmation!
