Ariana Grande Grammy Performance Speculation Continues After She Deletes Tweet Denying Rumor
Ariana Grande has a big week ahead of her. The songstress’s highly-anticipated fifth studio album, Thank U, Next is dropping on Friday, 2/8/19, and if the songs she’s already released are any indication (“thank u, next,” “imagine,” and “7 rings”), this album’s going to be FULL of bops. So when rumors began circulating that she’d perform one of them for the first time live on the GRAMMY Awards next Sunday, it made sense. Unfortunately, Ari set those reports to rest, responding to a Tweet saying, “That rumor is false.”
In response to a tweet of ours, Ariana Grande shut down the rumors and confirmed that she will not perform at the 61st GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, February 10, 2019: “that rumor is false 🖤”. #GRAMMYs pic.twitter.com/L52Hlucud7

HOWEVER, to make things slightly more suspicious, she backtracked and deleted the tweet in the days since. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Did the pop star have a change of heart? Or did she just cleanse some of her old Tweets so it would be easier to find her best social media clapbacks? Suffice it to say we’re seriously confused, and gonna have to watch the Grammys on Sunday just in case this deleted Tweet is a hint that we’ll get to see a live performance of “Needy” (or anything from AG5) after all. We’d even take another performance of “thank u, next” … just sayin’.
Other performers at this year’s event include Maren Morris, Jennifer Hudson, Cardi B, and Miley Cyrus. Considering the year Ari has had (and her nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance), it would make sense for her to show up at the biggest music night of the year in a big way.
Her fans would certainly like to see her there…
