Demi Lovato’s newest banger, “I Love Me,” is finally here and longtime Demi fans are noticing a few familiar faces in the recently-dropped music video. While walking through a New York City set in a fierce red coat, Demi appears to walk through some of the old stages of her life and stand-ins for old friends Selena Gomez, Wilmer Valderrama and The Jonas Brothers make an appearance.
The first sighting looks like Demi and her old friend, Selena Gomez around the era in which they starred on Barney & Friends. UPDATE: However, Demi fans have pointed out that this is more likely a reference to Demi, her older sister, Dallas Lovato, and her mom, Dianna, starting a new life after Demi and Dallas’s dad left the family.

After seeing the following photo of the three of them, we’re convinced:
But then we see New Demi walk past an Old Demi look-alike on the set of Camp Rock with the JoBros, singing, “I wonder when ‘I love me’ is enough.” Instead of giving that era of her life a snarl or an eye-roll, she gives the four teens a sweet smile.

But then the viewers appear to see the new, rebooted version of Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas, and Joe Jonas walk passed her as she sings about all the times she “went and f*cked it up.” She looks back at them wrapping their arms around one another nostalgically and smiles again.

Later in the music video, we see a recreation of Demi’s 2018 overdose as someone gets pulled into a stretcher. We even see possible stand-ins for her ex Wilmer Valerrama and his to-be wife Amanda Pacheco.

Those who have been following the “Anyone” singer since her Disney Channel days knows the ups-and-downs she’s had with Selena, the Jonas Brothers, and Wilmer. After her overdose, Wilmer apparently rushed to support her in rehab but would end up marrying Amanda by the next year — and even went to Joe Jonas’s wedding that she seemingly wasn’t invited to, a decision she apparently shaded on Instagram.
As for her connection to the Jonas Brothers, she and Nick remained tight post-Camp Rock — even after she and Joe broke up — and went on tour together. But their relationship allegedly ended when she backslid into her addiction after four years of sobriety. Lastly, we have her relationship with Selena, which has been much disputed, especially considering her new friendship with Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun. But it looks like Demi is trying to leave all that drama: the B.S. with the JoBros, SelGo, Wilmer, and even her overdose in the past as she learns to love herself.
