The WB

We already knew that there was a vampire-centric The Lost Boys adaptation coming to the CW, and that there’s a Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot in the works which may or may not be a continuation of the original story. But what we didn’t know is that the OG cast of the OG vampire show would all be hanging out in Portland, Oregon and Joss Whedon‘s bummed he didn’t get the memo, either.

Fan-favorites Alyson Hannigon, Nicholas Brendon, James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, Clare Kramer, Amber Benson, and Alexis Denisof, who played Willow, Xander, Spike, Cordelia, Glory, Tara, and Wesley, respectively, all hit up Wizard World on Sunday and shared some cute snaps of their Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion to Instagram. Suspiciously missing was obviously Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers) and David Boreanaz (Angel). Also missing was the creator of the series, Joss Whedon who didn’t seem too happy about his exclusion.

Sorry, Joss… your invite must’ve been lost in the mail? And can we just say our favorite bad boy James is still looking *hot* as ever? Seriously, 56 years old has never looked finer on a man. Back to the point…

There hasn’t been much reboot news since initial reports dropped this summer. All that we really know is that Joss and Monica Owusu-Breen are working on it and it will feature a new slayer who happens to be a woman of color. Buffy was groundbreaking in the ’90s, but it’s true that it was strikingly white, so this is a welcome change.

Seems like the original cast is still tight as ever, so we wouldn’t be all too surprised if we got a couple cameos from the OGs, especially now that there are hints that it’s a continuation of the series and it’s not being completely redone. This is definitely making us nostalgic for the good ol’ days
