Justin Bieber Teases 2020 Album Release With Cryptic Tweet

By  |

Justin Bieber‘s 2019 was all about finding himself and solidifying his marriage with Hailey Baldwin and it looks like the “Baby” singer is getting back in the studio. The 25-year-old singer has been featured on songs this year like “10,000 Hours” and “Earth” by Lil Dicky, but J.B. hasn’t actually released an album since 2015’s Purpose. It’s been a loooooong time since Beliebers got their fix.

It seems like in 2020 Justin’s going to change that. He posted a seven-second video to Twitter that just reads, “2020.”

Justin’s struggled with his mental health in the past few years and the Purpose tour finished on shaky terms since Justin had several outbursts before, after, and during his performances that made headlines. Some thought he was using drugs, others thought he just ‘hated’ his fans.

Certain Selena Gomez fans have attacked Justin for putting his pop album in direct competition with Selena’s upcoming one, which drops on January 10, 2020. Justin’s tweet is completely unclear and for all we know, JB5 could still be a complete year away or maybe he’ll just release a solo track in 2020. One thing is for sure though, J.B. fans LOVE this update and Selenators are not happy.

If Justin does release an album next year, it will be subject to Billboard‘s new bundling rules. These new restrictions make it so that selling merch that happens to include an album’s digital download does not count as a record sale for their Billboard Hot 200 chart.
