We all know The CW has been doing great things lately, and we’ve got our hopes way high for their The Lost Boys TV adaptation, which we reported yesterday will have a gender-bending twist for the Frog Brothers (now sisters). But today, EW reports that Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey has been cast as older brother, Michael Emerson, on the TV pilot.

Before we get too excited, we need to remember that getting a pilot ordered does not necessarily mean that the show will move to series. Also, sometimes actors are recast after the pilot episode. However, knowing the great work that Ty did as Scott McCall on the supernatural MTV show, we think his talents will be well used on The Lost Boys. Maybe we can get Dylan O’Brien to make a cameo? We can only hope!

Tyler’s acting credits since Teen Wolf wrapped in 2017 include Jane the Virgin (also on The CW), and 2018 horror film Truth or Dare with Lucy Hale. He’s also been making music with his pop punk band PVMNTS.

Tyler’s isn’t the only casting news we’ve heard about The Lost Boys reboot. According to Deadline, Kiele Sanchez, Medalion Rahimi, Dakota Shapiro also snagged roles on the show.

You probably know Kiele from Lost, Related, or The Glades, and Medalion is best known for her work on the Shonda Rhimes show Still Star-Crossed. Australian actor Dakota is a relative newcomer, but with a face like his… he’s destined to be a star! The show also has Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke directing the pilot… and we know she knows something about vampire book adaptations, so this show is in good hands.

The Lost Boys TV show should start airing in fall 2019 if the pilot is picked up to series.
