This “Thank U, Next” Video Teaser Is The Best Thing You’ll See All Day
If you’re anything like us, then you’ve probably been excitedly awaiting the drop of Ariana Grande‘s teen movie-inspired “thank u, next” music video ever since she started dropping pics last week. The vid, which draws inspiration from Bring It On, Legally Blonde, 13 Going On 30, and Mean Girls is the talk of the town — and it hasn’t even been released yet.
Unfortunately, it STILL isn’t here (Ari said on Twitter she was hoping to drop it this Friday), but we’ve got an ICONIC (yep, we said it) teaser out and… let’s just say… OMG. The video is an adaptation of a scene from Mean Girls and even has a few OG stars — like Jonathan Bennett (aka Aaron Samuels) and Stefanie Drummond (aka “army pants and flip flops” girl) — making an appearance to promote the upcoming m.v.

And it isn’t just Mean Girls fans who are going to be dying over this video. Ariana asked BFF Troye Sivan to show up, along with a very pregnant Colleen Ballinger (you may know her as Miranda Sings). The pop sensation has been sharing pics on Instagram and Twitter all week revealing some behind-the-scenes clues about the music video and she really seems to have pulled out all the stops. Her former Victorious co-stars Liz Gillies and Daniella Monet have been spotted on set (via IG). Liz took the role of Cady Herron (and some even mistook her for the actual Lindsay Lohan) and Daniella got all dressed up in a cheerleading costume to bring Bring It On back. We can’t wait to see who else makes a surprise appearance in Ariana Grande’s upcoming music video but we will be PATIENTLY refreshing the singer’s Instagram page until we *finally* get to see the finished video.
I think we can all agree that 2018 has been a year full of ups and downs for Ariana, but she’ll be leaving it on an epically high note with this “thank u, next” music video.
