It’s been more than 30 years since Michael Keaton played his much-loved character in Beetlejuice, but rumors of a sequel have been doing the rounds since the early ’90s. Back in 2015, star Winona Ryder confirmed that a sequel to the Tim Burton classic was in the works, even saying that a script had been written. However, nothing was said afterward. In April 2019, Tim himself directly addressed Beetlejuice 2 speculation, saying: “I don’t know, I doubt it.” However, fans think Tim is pulling a fast one and that we’ll get a sequel in 2020.
