16 Movies All Brides (& Romantics) Should Watch
Bride & Prejudice
Speaking of music, we have Bride & Prejudice, the 2004 Bollywood adaptation of Pride & Prejudice. Even if you’re not a big Jane Austin fan or you aren’t a lover of period films, you will enjoy the movie. It is a modern interpretation of the classic with more dancing, colors, and singing. Mr. Chaman Bakshi (Anupam Kher) and Mrs. Manorama Bakshi (Nadira Babbar) have their hands full because they have three daughters they’re looking to arrange marriages for. Younger sisters Lakhi (Peeya Rai Chowdhary) and Maya (Meghna Kothari) are cool with the idea but older sister Lalita (Aishwarya Rai) wants to choose her own match and marry for love. As you may have guessed, drama ensues.
