Little Big League Box Office: $12,267,790
Baseball films never go out of style, and the early ‘90s were a breeding ground for some of the biggest baseball hits of all time. These two films, released within 12 months of each other, took the sport and tackled it in basically the same exact way. Both films are about a 12-year-old boy getting involved in the MLB through some zany shenanigans! The way the boys get into the MLB is a bit different — Rookie of the Year has a broken arm leading to a boy being able to somehow pitch a ball at 100 MPH, and in Little Big League, a young boy inherits the Minnesota Twins franchise after his grandfather dies. So, yeah, a little different but the essence is basically the exact same!
