18 Musicians Who Named A Song After A Celebrity
OutKast, “Rosa Parks”
There are a lot of musicians who named a song after a celebrity. This is an occasion when a band named a song after a historical icon. On their Aquemini album, OutKast included the track “Rosa Parks.” The song began, “Ah ha, hush that fuss / Everybody move to the back of the bus / Do you want to bump and slump with us / We the type of people make the club get crunk.” There was some controversy over it, with Rosa Parks suing the duo for the content of the song and misappropriation. The vulgar language in it was also a sticking point. The case would go on for many years with different hiccups before it was resolved in 2005.
