Beyoncé has been name-dropped in countless songs, but Drake took it to the next level by naming a song after her. “Girls Love Beyoncé” was released in 2014 on the In Bed with DJ Battle, Vol. 3 (The Finest Music to Make Love) [100% New School Sexual Music] album. The tune, which also featured James Fauntleroy, even included a sampling for Destiny’s Child‘s “Say My Name” in its hook. Despite all the Queen Bey references, the bones of the song are about the rapper looking for love, but that is proving difficult because of his lifestyle. He raps, “I need someone I leave through the front door with / because we don’t wanna hide no more / Plus, you’re not shy no more / Neither of us wanna play the side no more.”
