It looked a little rocky there for a second in 2016, but Taylor Swift is still on a roller coaster that only goes up. The musicians' advocate, former country princess, and proud cat mom is one of the best-selling artists of all time, earning a spot amongst industry heavyweights like Queen, Whitney Houston, and The Rolling Stones in the annals of history. As a newly-political, nearly-30-year-old, Taylor has made the cover of Vogue's 2019 September Issue, arguably the most celebrated magazine honor in the game, while preparing to release her seventh studio album Lover. We all know what Taylor's been up to, but with over 20 hit music videos under her belt, it's easy to lose track of her music video boyfriends. Not everyone can be a 10-time Grammy Award winner, but some of her not-quite-exes have done alright for themselves.

Taylor wrote her first single, "Tim McGraw," while she was a freshman at Hendersonville High School and preparing for an imminent breakup with her then-boyfriend, who was about to leave for college. The young songwriter told a fan that Clayton Collins was cast for the video because he looked a lot like her boyfriend thanks to his dark hair and tall build. Since his starring role in "Tim McGraw," Clayton's IMDb shows that he's moved from acting to behind-the-camera work, acting as a unit production manager and first assistant camera on projects in 2011 and 2012.

It looks like Taylor was a big One Tree Hill fan in high school. "Teardrops On My Guitar" leading man Tyler Hilton was best known for his recurring role on the Chad Michael Murray-led series before taking an extended leave from the show, likely to focus on his own music career and a film role in Charlie Bartlett. Tyler went on to marry a *different* music video co-star, Secret Life of the American Teenager's Megan Park, who appeared as a love interest in Gloriana's "(Kissed You) Good Night," which is a bop in its own right. Tyler's seventh album was released to little fanfare in 2019, and he returned to One Tree Hill back in 2012 as a series regular for the final season.

Justin Sandy had recently retired from his five-year NFL career as a safety for the Tennessee Titans and a special teams player for the Cleveland Browns following a major knee injury when his Ken Doll good looks and outwardly perfect demeanor brought him to Taylor's attention for the "Picture to Burn" music video. Acting was apparently not Justin's second passion, as he now works as a founding member of Remedi Hemp, a CBD production and sales company, one of many start-ups he has begun since he became the Taylor Swift music video boyfriend whose picture got thrown in a pile of flames.

"Love Story" was one of underwear model Justin Gaston's two big breaks in 2008. The aspiring singer appeared on Nashville Star that same year, but was the third contestant to be eliminated during the show's sixth (and final) season. After being transported through time in Taylor's fantasy world, Justin tried his luck at a second reality TV stint on Simon Fuller's Hulu series If I Can Dream in 2010, which followed five aspiring performers who lived together in Hollywood. His biggest claim to fame, aside from a four-month stint on Days of Our Lives in 2014, was being Miley Cyrus's much-older boyfriend around the time "Love Story" was released. He's now married to soap opera star Melissa Ordway, with whom he has two children.

Stephen Colletti was famous in his own right before appearing as the unfaithful boyfriend in "White Horse," with roles on the reality TV series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and One Tree Hill. Since then, Refinery29 did some digging and found that Stephen's real post-Swift bread and butter has been starring in a ton of made-for-TV movies on Lifetime, although he surprisingly did not join his fellow One Tree Hill alumns on Lifetime's The Christmas Contract. More recently, Stephen linked up with OTH pal James Lafferty for a short film called Everyone Is Doing Great, which follows two "fictional" actors dealing with life after starring on a hit teen drama series.

Taylor met Lucas Till while filming her cameo appearance in Hannah Montana: The Movie, where she thought the romantic lead embodied the dreamy guy she was looking for in "You Belong With Me." Two years after his role as a high school sweetheart, Lucas became an integral part of the X-Men franchise as Havoc, appearing in First Class, Days of Future Past, and Apocalypse. In addition to a variety of other film credits (and a few producing gigs), Lucas played the titular character on MacGyver on CBS from 2016 to 2019.

Toby Hemingway played the present-day version of Taylor's love interest in "Mine" as the two crazy kids fought in the rain, got married, and raised children of their own. Taylor found the British actor in a 2007 Morgan Freeman film Feast of Love and 2006's The Covenant, in which he wore a sweater with her lucky number "13" emblazoned on the front, she shared with MTV at the time. Soon after "Mine," Toby appeared in Black Swan and has been regularly employed ever since, most recently in a recurring role on ABC's 2018 series The Crossing and in Chadwick Boseman's 2019 film 21 Bridges.

When Canada's U Music tried to find Guntars Asmanis, the Taylor Lautner stand-in for "Back To December," all they found was an abandoned Facebook page. Lucky for us (and him), Guntars has launched a career as a male model, opening Dior Homme's SS '12 show and appearing in various lookbooks and advertising campaigns for Bespolen, Mastai Ferretti, and Kenneth Ning, although models.com shows that the Latvian stunner hasn't had any updates since 2014. His old FB shows that he's also done work for Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, and Miu Miu, and we're hoping his radio silence just means he's following his other passions as "an amateur DJ, a snowboarder, and an avid beer drinker."

Just like the "The Story of Us" music video, Taylor Swift's music video boyfriend Caleb Campbell seems to have been forgotten by the masses. A little stalking led us to his personal Facebook page — which we won't be linking here because we're not monsters — and it shows he's still hot (but looks better without the beard he's currently sporting), he lives in Los Angeles, and he has a very supportive mother. He's had over 140 profile pictures, which is insane, but other than that, Caleb has kept his life pretty private. We were only able to find him through a less cautious friend tagging him in a post about the video, and we're deeply curious as to how Taylor found him to begin with.

Taylor's taste in prestige teen television is second to none. Her "Ours" military man was played by Zach Gilford, best known as paralyzed football star Jason Street's back-up quarterback on Friday Night Lights. He booked the "Ours" music video the year Friday Night Lights ended and has since been a series regular on five short-lived television series. Zach currently stars on Spectrum Originals' drama L.A.'s Finest and appears as a recurring character on NBC's Good Girls. Zach is married to fellow actress Kiele Sanchez, who he met on set of The Matadors, before the couple co-starred in The Purge: Anarchy.

Taylor is never, ever getting back together with Jake Gyllenhaal male model Noah Mills. Before appearing as Taylor's scarf-stealing ex in "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," Noah had already made a name for himself as a runway fixture with Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, and Michael Kors, and he was named one of the Top 10 Male Models of All Time by Vogue in 2014. Noah still walks for these designers, was featured on a male model-heavy cover of Details in September 2015, and was a leading role on NBC's The Enemy Within during the one month it lasted.

Keeping with the theme of the "Begin Again" music video, French actor Vladimir Perrin starred as Taylor's meet-cute date in her Parisian adventure. Vlad's IMDb page really isn't especially helpful in deciphering how our man has been doing AT (After Taylor) because we don't know much about French cinema, but his lack of crossover success, void Rotten Tomatoes page, and his numerous one-off appearances on French TV shows, TV movies, and video shorts make it seem like "Begin Again" might be his biggest success to date. His measly 2,213 Instagram followers further confirms our hypothesis.

Where to start with Reeve Carney? This Broadway actor is a star in his own right, but before Taylor knew he was trouble in 2012, Reeve's jazz-rock band Carney had already toured with The Veronicas and opened for Arcade Fire and U2. Taylor found Reeve through Carney as she was a fan of the band, but he might have been more famous for starring as Spider-Man in the ~infamous~ Broadway production Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark from 2010 to 2013, which was known for a repeatedly delayed opening night, multiple actor injuries, music by Bono and The Edge, and the longest preview period in Broadway history as future Riverdale autour Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa was brought in to retool the book. It closed after nine performances, but Reeve has found massive Broadway success in later ventures including Fox's live Rocky Horror Picture Show and a leading role as Orpheus in 2019's Best Musical Tony-winner Hadestown.

If you really need us to explain what Ed Sheeran has been up to since his 2012 collab with Taylor, you might want to consider a change of address because clearly, you've been living under a rock. The famous friends (who, contrary to popular belief, probably never dated) wrote this single before Ed opened for Taylor's Red tour in 2013, and the two superstars are still two peas in a pod. Rumor has it that Ed and his new wife Cherry Seaborn finally got together at Taylor's annual Fourth of July party in 2015, and obviously, Ed has become a multi-Platinum pop headliner in his own right.

Sean O'Pry was scouted by AIM Model Management owner Nolé Marin through his MySpace prom photos in 2006, according to a New York Times profile, because life just isn't fair. Since then, his career has reached near-legendary heights as he's modeled for brands including Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, and Bottega Veneta and opened runway shows for Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Balmain, and Salvatore Ferragamo. Named one of the most successful male models by Forbes, models.com, and Vogue, Sean's career has just continued to climb following his role in Taylor's record-breaking "Blank Space" video.

Before standing in for Harry Styles in 2015's "Style," British actor Dominic Sherwood had really only appeared as a young Mick Jagger (who, ironically, Harry is often compared to) in 2012's Not Fade Away, had a small recurring role on BBC's The Cut, and starred in the criminally underrated, so-bad-it's-good YA adaptation Vampire Academy. After "Style," Dominic was cast as hero Jace Herondale on Freeform's beloved series Shadowhunters, which ran from 2016 to 2019. He's set to appear alongside Natalie Dormer and Nathan Lane on Penny Dreadful: City of Angels in 2019, a follow up to the original Showtime series, which coincidentaly featured another of Taylor Swift's music video boyfriends, Reeve Carney, as Dorian Grey.

Scott Eastwood was a fitting choice for Taylor's movie star lover in "Wildest Dreams," considering his Hollywood heritage. Clint Eastwood's son followed in his father's footsteps, appearing in a truly large number of films before being cast in Taylor's 2015 video. Scott has since been featured in high-profile films such as Suicide Squad, The Fate of the Furious, and Pacific Rim: Uprising and will be starring alongside Orlando Bloom in the upcoming wartime drama The Outpost.

Fifty Shades Darker demanded an equally sexy-adjacent lead single to match their almost-scandalous film and "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" delivered. Taylor and Zayn Malik looked moody, trashed their hotel rooms, and generally ignored each other in the "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" video, which has over 559 million views on YouTube, but our theory is that the former One Direction member and Taylor kept the PDA to a minimum because of Zayn's relationship with then-Swift squad member Gigi Hadid. "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" was released after Zayn's first solo effort, but his 2018 follow up Icarus Falls honestly didn't make much of an impact on the charts.

If you haven't heard Taylor's Red-reject "Babe," which she later released with Sugarland in 2018, you're missing out. The tale of a cheating lover got the Mad Men treatment in its '60s-themed music video, where Brandon Routh plays Jennifer Nettles's cheating husband, who was having an affair with a secretary Swift. We don't need to tell you that Brandon is a superhero multiple times over, starring in Superman Returns long before his music video moment and appearing as both The Atom and Superman on the CW's Arrow. Brandon's "Babe" role must've given him some major TBT vibes — his first role was as an extra in Christina Aguilera's "What A Girl Wants" video. Funnily enough, Brandon's Chuck co-star Ryan McPartlin also appeared in a Sugarland music video eight years prior for "Stuck Like Glue."

The first single off of Taylor's seventh album, Lover, featured Panic! at the Disco's Brendon Urie as her pastel-hued love interest. We weren't exactly "calme" when we heard these two would be collaborating, as Brendon has been in the public eye for about as long as Taylor has. The only remaining Panic! member, Brendon has taken the band into a new, mainstream-friendly era of number one records and Top 40 singles, and that hasn't changed in the relatively short amount of time since "Me!" was released in April 2019.
