Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and Archie may not be seniors yet, but they've already made quite an impact at Riverdale High. Both Veronica and Betty have been slaying it as River Vixens, Jughead has used his reporting skills for The Blue and Gold, and Archie once hailed as captain of the Riverdale Bulldogs. These guys have been in a sea of drama from day one, but even that won't stop them showing some school spirit.
At this point, we've seen enough to know how they might be remembered in their high school yearbooks. From "Best Bromance" to "Cutest Couple That Never Was," see what it would be like if the characters from The CW's Riverdale had yearbook superlatives.
Just think about it. Like Beyoncé, Josie started out in a successful band and then she began to pursue a solo career (though we'll admit, she could’ve gone about it differently). We've always admired her confidence, her ambition, her sass, and her strong work ethic. Plus, her voice is just out of this world. Considering her talent and her drive, we can totally see her becoming a musical icon that goes on to travel the world and win Grammys.
It’s impossible to not adore their chemistry. It always feels genuine because, as we've seen, KJ Apa and Cole Sprouse are also pretty close in real life. At times, they've felt more like brothers. And what's amazing is that even despite all the issues that threatened their friendship, they still fought to maintain it. Cole once said: “I love the way Archie and Jughead’s relationship is portrayed. It’s very understanding and open, and there’s open communication.”
This one shouldn't come as surprise. After all, writing is a big passion of his and he's been working on an ongoing novel about the mysterious events in Riverdale. We've also seen that he has great investigative reporting skills because he's always determined to find the truth, regardless of the risk. So in addition to writing a riveting best seller, we could also see him as a star reporter, constantly seeking justice and exposing the truth for the greater good (assuming, of course, that he eventually leaves the Serpents).
She can rock bold red lipstick and strut down the halls of Riverdale High like it's a full runway. Her sense of style is so flawless that we wish we could raid her closet. And she carries herself with such flair that it makes everyone want to be her BFF (even though she can be vain and super shady). She's always been the Queen Bee at Riverdale High and she knows it. So if you see her gracing the cover of your next issue of Vogue, don't be surprised.
Um, can we just take a moment to appreciate this adorable couple that could've been? We know that both have pretty much moved on to other people, but we can't ignore the fact that they actually had a moment and kissed on season two (!!!). It honestly felt like the beginning of a budding romance because the chemistry was so strong. But, unfortunately, nothing became of it. If it's any consolation, though, Betty and Archie are technically endgame in the comics. So who knows, maybe there's still hope for these two yet...
We haven't seen much of Chuck lately, but he's come a long way since we first met him on season one. If you can recall, he had a big reputation as the captain of the Riverdale Bulldogs, but he was also your typical, selfish Alpha-male who disrespected women. In fact, he fell from grace because of spreading false rumors about Veronica. But it seems like this inspired him to change his ways because he started attending church and his treatment of women improved. It wasn't until season two, after he joined the school's musical, that he was able to convince his peers that he became a better person.
Some might say that she feels like the female version of Jughead, which makes sense because they have so many similar traits and interests. But also, from the get-go, we could sense that she was a fighter who could hold her own. She's smart, she's loyal, and she's passionate about seeking justice. So if a character like Toni just happened to be in Katniss Everdeen's shoes, we imagine that she'd also do more than just "win." She'd also find a clever way to break the cycle and help those in need while doing so.
This one is not even up for debate. The foursome has been through so much: from rumors and betrayals to family drama and crime. And yet, even now, they're still a tight-knit group that continues to be there for each other. We live for those moments when they have a heart-to-heart or when they simply comfort each other during times of tragedy. And of course, we get all warm and fuzzy whenever we see them celebrate together at their favorite hangout spot, Pop's. Anyone else wish that they could be a part of this squad?
This is the girl who rallied female victims to stand up to football players who disrespected them on season one. This is also same the girl took it upon herself to speak out against slut-shaming and cheer up her classmate, Ethel, after seeing her cry for help. Veronica's middle name ought to be "fierce" because she doesn't shy away from confrontations and she's a bold feminist who knows how to deliver a clapback like no other. But even more than that, she's kind-hearted, empathetic, mature, and always loyal.
She may be a Serpent Queen with a dark side, but she's still a dedicated straight-A student. In fact, some would say that she's among the most intelligent kids at Riverdale High. We've seen that she has courage, confidence, resilience, and grit - all of which are useful leadership qualities. Plus, whenever she puts her mind to something, trust that she'll find a way to achieve it, no matter what the risk. We wouldn't mind having her as our boss in the future!
It looks like participating in sports has definitely paid off! But of course, Archie is more than just a gorgeous face with muscles. Aside from being a football player, Archie is a budding writer and musician who isn't afraid to be open and honest about his feelings. He's also incredibly loyal to his friends, empathetic, and caring. Talk about having the whole package!
Who was the one that filled Veronica in on Riverdale's social scene on her very first day? And who's the guy who always seems to know the latest gossip? Yep, that's right. It's none other than Kevin Keller. He is one of the sweetest and most charismatic people you could ever meet. But we love that he's unapologetically himself and that he stands up for what he believes in. With his positivity and outgoing personality, we could see him sharing a talk show where he dishes on celebrity news and all the latest trends.
Or should we say, "Beronica"? These two are proof that no matter how much a friendship is strained, it's always possible to bounce back and repair it. These two have been through so much, but what we love is that their conflicts seem to have brought them even closer together. As of now, they have a bond so strong that practically nothing can break it. So yeah, we can all agree that Betty and Veronica are BFF goals.
Considering that she's such a skilled songwriter, we doubt that Josie and the Pussycats would've survived as long without her. Now a loyal member of Veronica and the Pussycats, Valerie continues to be a valuable member and pretty much the mastermind behind the entire group. She's already proven to be an independent, grounded, and talented writer who's confident in her ability. Plus, the fact that Josie's father (who isn't easy to please) approves of her work already says a lot. Before she knows it, she'll be writing hits for huge artists!
In a show that's filled with dark themes, it's kind of refreshing to see some humor and sarcasm. Jughead once admitted that sardonic humor was his way of relating to the world, and we feel like a lot of people can relate to this. We love those epic comebacks that make people squirm because it shows that Jughead is unapologetic about his bluntness. He doesn't really care to fit in with everyone. And interestingly enough, this makes his character even more intriguing.
No one can deny that Reggie has major skills on the football field. He's also one of the most popular jocks in school and he's fit enough to star in a gym membership commercial. His chances of landing a football scholarship seem pretty high, which means he could go on to play the sport professionally. Maybe in the future, we'll see him in uniform playing for a major team on SuperBowl Sunday while we binge-eat way too many snacks.
