Remember how we said that contestants on Big Brother are kept out of the loop regarding things outside of the house? Well, an exception was made for the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 which coincided with season two. Producers informed house guests of the incident. Sadly, Monica Bailey‘s cousin Tamitha Freeman was one of the people reported to be missing following the attacks. It was later revealed that Tamitha was in fact one of the people who lost their lives. Monica, who was from Brooklyn, New York, continued with the competition and ended up placing third. She appeared again as one of the potential contestants to be voted in for Big Brother All-Stars, but she wasn’t selected.
