20 Early ’00s TV Shows That Were Way Ahead Of Their Time
We know Glee was undeniably a huge hit during its run from 2009 to 2015, but we feel it just doesn’t get enough recognition for how progressive it was. While it mostly depicted the stereotypical, cheesy high school life, it also shed light on some real stuff — probably the most notable being the time it gave to LGBTQ+ issues. The series had multiple openly gay characters and paid a lot of attention to the struggles they faced in school and also with their families.
