20 Early ’00s TV Shows That Were Way Ahead Of Their Time

By  |

Moesha began airing in 1996 and lasted six whole seasons before in ended in the beginning of the ’00s. The plot followed a teenage girl who was basically the glue that held her entire problematic family together. For six years, we watched Moesha juggle school, family, friendships, and romance all while trying to adjust to life with her father’s new wife. It was pretty real, we must say, and very refreshing to see a woman of color land a starring role in a sitcom. Although the show ended almost two decades ago, it’s still remembered as one of the best shows of the noughties.
