Everything We Know About Game of Thrones Season 8
The Episodes Will be Directed by Four People
Game of Thrones has always had a regular stable of directors that it draws from. For the final season, it’s chosen to divide the work somewhat unevenly. The first two episodes and the fourth episode will be directed by David Nutter. In the past, he directed the red wedding episode and the season five finale.
For the third episode, Miguel Sapochnik will take over. His previous Thrones credits include “Hardhome” and “The Battle of the Bastards,” two massive battle episodes. Miguel will also direct the fifth episode. The finale will be directed by D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, the co-creators of the show. That seems fair enough.
