Here’s How Much Your Fave Stranger Things Stars Earn Per Episode
We all know that our fave actors and actresses make a lot of money, but did you ever wonder exactly how much they earn? Last month, fans found out the Riverdale cast’s salaries and now we’re here to tell you just how much our fave Stranger Things stars make per episode.
Spoiler alert: the kids of the hit Netflix show are probably earning more than you ever will. LOL, it’s sad for some of us, but it’s the truth. They make a sh*t ton of money for playing their iconic characters – and TBH they should be. Before the series became a hit, they were reportedly earning $30,000 per episode, which is peanuts compared to what they’re making now. But, after finding massive success and an instant cult following, the show’s lead stars are now earning 10x more than that!
As shown in a breakdown of TV actors’ salaries reported by Variety, each of them falls into one of three categories: Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), and Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) earn $350,000 per episode. Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) earn $250,000 and newcomers Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield) and Dacre Montgomery (Billy Hargrove) earn $150,000. It’s unclear how much fan fave hunk Steve Harrington, played by Joe Keery, earns but we’re going to assume he falls into the third tier since he’s considered a secondary character.
Considering most of the Stranger Things stars are barely out of high school, they’re making the big bucks! Especially Millie, who earns as much at veteran actors like Winona and David. Based on our calculations, this bunch is earning anywhere between $1.2 to $2.8 million as salaries this season since the show is expected to be eight episodes. Not bad for a 14-year-old kid, huh?
But despite making so much at such a young age, they’re far from the highest-paid TV stars of 2018. In fact, there are a lot of actors that earn a hefty $1 million per episode. The Big Bang Theory stars are among that bunch. Norman Reedus, too, for his role as Darryl on The Walking Dead. Meanwhile, Elisabeth Moss also gets $1 million per episode for The Handmaid’s Tale, Julia Roberts received $600,000 per episode for her new Amazon show Homecoming, and Reese Witherspoon and Friends alum Jennifer Aniston will reportedly earn a whopping $1.1 million per episode each for their upcoming Apple dramedy, The Morning Show.
Crazy, right? There’s no doubt in our minds that some of the cast of Stranger Things will become one of these top-earning actors, too, one day. While season three of the show does not have an official release date, rumors suggest it’ll premiere sometime next summer. Not much is known about the plot either, but we can definitely expect all their salaries to go up if the series gets picked up for a fourth season!
