20 Of The Most Unnecessary TV Show Reboots & Revivals
Skins was a phenomenon all over the UK during its run from 2007 to 2013 and many U.S. audiences fell in love with the show, too, when it was streaming on Netflix. It followed the stories of a group of troublesome kids from a dodgy part of Bristol in England. The series dealt with common issues experienced by teens in the UK during the early 2000s and fans were gutted when it ended in 2013. MTV decided to make their own version of the show based in Maryland, Baltimore, but America just wasn’t ready for how racy it was. The show was eventually canceled in 2011 after it lost advertising sponsors and viewers due to its sexualization of teens, which is interesting considering the raunchiness from the original had already been toned down.
